NORÐUR SALT CRISPY GOURMET SEA SALT
Our unique geothermal production method was first tried in 1753 and has since been carefully preserved in Iceland and Denmark. The pure, savory and mystical Arctic seawater is pumped into open pans where it is slowly heated with water from natural hot springs. This sustainable process leaves behind no carbon dioxide – only fresh, crunchy flakes of Norður Sea Salt.
We use a combination of craftsmanship, technical solution and tradition to make our salt. All of these factors contribute to the essence of our work: creating an extraordinary product that enhances our everyday lives and makes each dining experience unique.
The salt is hand harvested to precisely ensure the right taste and texture. Once the salt flakes have been raked from the pans, they are dried using geothermal heating. Then, it is on to the packaging stage and the salt flakes are ready to be enjoyed.
